IMPORTANT NEWS:
I will be gone from Tuesday afternoon until Friday. I am attending a
National Conference for Teachers and hopefully will bring back lots
of new ideas to make our classroom and Berg Elementary successful.
I will still be checking student work and I will be available through
Class Dojo, so please contact me if you have any concerns.

Newburg Family Fun Night at The Zone: Thursday, October 25th 5-8 pm
$7.50 Wristband for kids, free hot dog, small soda, craft table, Dodge ball
and Cha Cha slide.

Red Ribbon Week this week:  Monday – Pajama Day
Tuesday - Camo Day
Wednesday - Sports Day
Thursday - Twin Day
Friday - Wear Red or Red Ribbon Shirt

Some updates have been made to our text message notification system
(School Messenger). If you think you should be receiving text message
notifications from Newburg R-II Schools and are not, simply text "yes"
to 67587. You should receive a reply acknowledging your message. If you
do not receive a reply, notify the school (tech@newburg.k12.mo.us, kdelong@newburg.k12.mo.us or debarnes@newburg.k12.mo.us) that your
phone number is missing from our messaging system.

Things to remember:
Please send a snack with your student daily.

Reading:
No spelling test this week! We will be taking some reading assessments
to help me better assist each student with meeting their reading goals.

For our morning reading assignments, we now have choices. That means
your student gets to choose which article they read from a list of
options. This week we are learning about the ocean, bugs and ants,
birds that don’t fly, whales, and a few other things.

Our entire class has reached 200% of our A.R. Goal for first quarter,
so we will be having a little party with our High School reading pals
this week.

Writing:
Our writing project this week will be a book report.

Math:
We are learning how to tell time, and starting to learn measuring
skills. Of course, we are always working on addition, subtraction
and place value. We have seen some great improvements recently.

Please contact me anytime you have a question or a concern!

Thank you and have a great week,

Mr. Clark
