IMPORTANT NEWS:

We are fast approaching the end of the year. The most important
thing you can do to support your child is to read with them every
chance you have. Look for opportunities to discover new things
through reading, and try and find time to enjoy it together. If you
need help with finding books at the appropriate level, please contact
me at any time.
Things to remember:
Please send a snack with your student daily.

Reading:
Read anything you can, anywhere you can. Practice is the most
important thing you can do to help your child.

Writing:
We are going to experiment with some different writing challenges
and assignments during the fourth quarter.

Math:
We will begin reviewing all of our Math Priority Learning Standards
with students demonstrating that they have mastered
skills for their grade level.

Please encourage your student to do Xtramath at home, they are really
showing progress now and not missing days will help them reach their
certificates faster.

Code:
Students will continue writing code to program the robots this week.
Some have started coding the robot to write their name, a complex
task that involves math and geometry along with precise measurements.

Please contact me anytime you have a question or a concern!
Thank you and have a great week,

Mr. Clark

IMPORTANT NEWS:

Our next team learning challenge will be in March. Our February
challenge turned out wonderfully and everyone worked really hard
to succeed with their team. The students are enjoying these!

The students will begin requesting to test on standards in their
Data notebooks when they believe they are ready to demonstrate
Competence with specific learning tasks.
Things to remember:
Please send a snack with your student daily.

Reading:
This semester we only have half as many older students involved in
our reading partners program during Wolftime. It would be helpful
if parents have time to read with their students at home to offset
this. If you would like to read at home, I am happy to assist with
finding the right book for you and your child.
