IMPORTANT NEWS:
Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled, please let me know if you
need to make any changes. I will do my best to be available whenever
works best!

Yearbooks are for sale for $10 in the office.

Red Ribbon Week is coming in October! If you would like to purchase
some spirit wear and support our PBIS Wolf Store, here is the link: https://newburgredribbonweek.itemorder.com

Some updates have been made to our text message notification system
(School Messenger). If you think you should be receiving text message
notifications from Newburg R-II Schools and are not, simply text "yes"
to 67587. You should receive a reply acknowledging your message. If you
do not receive a reply, notify the school (tech@newburg.k12.mo.us,
kdelong@newburg.k12.mo.us or debarnes@newburg.k12.mo.us) that your
phone number is missing from our messaging system.

Things to remember:
Please send a snack with your student daily.

Remember to check ClassDojo often, I try and share both
class and individual student events several times per week.

Your child is welcome to keep a water bottle on the counter
in the classroom.

Reading:
We will take our spelling test on Friday so please practice
Spelling and vocabulary words at home when you have time.
We only have 8 words this week, because we only have four days.

This week we will be reading about thunderstorm safety, baby camels,
Moles, and what a crossing guard does.

We will continue working towards our AR goal, of 200% for the entire
class.

Writing:
Last week we completed our research papers. This was a really big
writing project and challenged us but we learned a lot, too.
This week we are going to work on the history of our name, so please
expect your student to come home with questions.

Math:
We are learning how to tell time, and starting to learn measuring
skills. Of course, we are always working on addition, subtraction
and place value. We have seen some great improvements recently.

Please contact me anytime you have a question or a concern!

Thank you and have a great week,

Mr. Clark
