Red Ribbon Week is coming in October! If you would like to purchase

Some updates have been made to our text message notification system
(School Messenger). If you think you should be receiving text message
notifications from Newburg R-II Schools and are not, simply text "yes"
to 67587. You should receive a reply acknowledging your message. If you
do not receive a reply, notify the school (tech@newburg.k12.mo.us,
kdelong@newburg.k12.mo.us or debarnes@newburg.k12.mo.us) that your
phone number is missing from our messaging system.


Things to remember:
Please send a snack with your student daily.

Remember to check ClassDojo Often, I try and share both
class and individual student events several times per week.


Your child is welcome to keep a water bottle on the counter
in the classroom.


Reading:
We will take our spelling test on Friday so please practice
Spelling and vocabulary words at home when you have time.


This week we will be reading about the moon, dogs, animals in the arctic,
Beavers and windy weather.


We will continue working towards our AR goal, of 200% for the entire
class.


Writing:
Last week we completed our letters of appreciation and had a great time
delivering them to each person. This week we are going to work on
how to research something of interest, take notes and write a paper on
our discovery.


Math:
We are learning how to tell time, and starting to learn measuring
skills. Of course, we are always working on addition, subtraction
and place value.

groundhogs, what laws are, sound and concerts,
and the stars in the night sky.

We will continue working towards 200% of our A.R.
Goal. Congratulations to the two students that have
already made it!

Last week, we completed our first creative writing
project. Each of us wrote our own fictional story and
then presented it to the class.


This week, we will be writing letters of appreciation.

Math:

I learned about turtles, snakes, and time.

I learned about alligator.

I Learned how to do mobymax. Reading was fun.

I loved writing a story of my own.

I learned 6-3=3 and I enjoyed readworks.

I got to learn about amphibians.

I learned about vowel town.
